“Earn points on every dollar you spend” is how the Youngevity Rewards are tauted on our websites.
But if you are like me….ok, I need the 3rd-grade level explanation FIRST – then we can go deeper. And I always ask “Why Should I?”
Have you figured it out? I would love to hear your input (below in the comments).
SO—JUST FOR YOU! I jumped in to give it a whirl….
I love the Cardo Stix drink paks but don’t feel they are as ‘essential’ as my supplements I put in my Autoship. (Yep, can’t use rewards points on Autoship.) But I decided to order 2 boxes which are $139.90 (plus shipping & tax – can’t use points for these) and I applied 1,000 points (which is $100 — the max allowed per order) so my bottom line payment was $53.65. (Yep, I could have bought one box and only paid the $14ish shipping & tax – so you can benefit from my “late-to-the-party” realization) But that is still less than $1 per stick pak.
BOTTOM LINE: I felt so much better paying only $26.83 per box (which includes tax & shipping) instead of the wholesale price per box of $69.95 (plus tax & shipping) – and I am totally fine with the small reduction in my commission (due to lower BV on the sale).
Here’s what I learned from checking all the sources – lots of ways to earn:
- Earn points after you activate Rewards in your account (online) – 1 point per dollar spent
- Earn points for activities:
- referring retail or preferred customers (plus points on every purchase placed by them)
- enrolling a distributor
- sign up for autoship (each month gets points!)
- subscribing to newsletter (current/one-time)
- connecting on Social Media (FB/Twitter/Instagram)
- participating in convention

But how do you USE these points??
- Can only redeem your YGY points on Youngevity.com (or your replicated website) – just need to have an active youngevity.com account
- When you are logged in to your account and ready to check out, you see the available reward points (or go to your account icon and click on the “my rewards”)
- Another way to “use” the rewards points? For anyone you refer (or sign up), earning rewards points that can be used to get free product is enticing to them – and you get points, too
And there are a few things you need to keep in mind:
- BE SURE to hit “APPLY” after entering your rewards you want to use in an order!! (sounds silly, but I missed this twice and couldn’t figure out why my request to use rewards did not register)
- You can redeem 1000 points ($100 reward credit) per order – that’s the limit
- You can earn unlimited points but can only redeem 6,000 points ($600 reward credits) in one year (HEY, BUT IT IS ESSENTIALLY GETTING $600 in PRODUCT FREE!!)
- Reward credits cannot be used for Autoship purchases
- Reward points expire one year from the earned date
- Remember that Retail Customers/Preferred Customers are NOT eligible for earning in the Compensation Plan so those earnings roll up to the Distributor that is the enroller of the people doing the referring – HOWEVER, Retail Customers/Preferred Customers are able to earn rewards points.
- As a Distributor, you earn both QV and BV on orders where rewards are redeemed – the full amount counts toward your QV but your BV will be calculated based on the discounted amount (that impacts your commission earned).
- If you order items in “2x Reward Point” specials, you get a doubled amount of rewards. (this seems to have replaced the Double QV items in the past— points are more usable)
OK, did you just ask yourself, how do I know what product is on sale today for DOUBLE POINTS? Yeah, me, too. I keep forgetting how to find that info. Some options:
- Go to the Resource Center at youngevityrc.com and put “double rewards” in search
- The official Youngevity Facebook page also posts this info as it occurs
