Group Fun? Who’s Taking the Pics?

Friends moving from the neighborhood?  And everyone gets together rather impromptu for a great send-off party?

Or …. have a group reunion coming up that only happens sporadically?

Or …. attending a special wedding/anniversary/celebration with everyone snapping fun “behind-the-scenes” photos?

Over the last 20 years, two groups of friends (my 12-years-of-school-together friends and my college sorority sisters) have had “reunion” trips.  I was the one lugging the DSLR camera and taking photos and then creating albums.  I could not be everywhere and catch everything.

But today, just as the photographer Nick Kelsh predicted years ago while teaching scrapbookers photo classes — our phone cameras are as good, if not better, than the DSLR’s of the past.

All these events have a common thread – we want to enjoy the pictures that bring up the memories long after the event is over.  And there are common problems — with so many people at the events, how do you capture it all without overburdening one person or hiring a photographer?  And how do you pull all the photos together for later enjoyment?

Surely, I would not tease you with a problem when I don’t have an answer, right?  Well, sure — recently I discovered this as I was building the “Life-Story” course.

There’s a way to have multiple people at the event do what they already do — take photos on their smartphones.  Then just “share” them with an app straight to the “collaborative album” set up at Forever.com.

Whether spontaneously done in small group settings or more orchestrated for bigger planned events….it is still easy-peasy.  And creating an online album from everyone’s contributions is just about as quick as the snapping and collecting function!

I created a download for you – and yes, it is step-by-step — for either the on-the-fly situation or for a full collaborative effort for a big deal shindig.  Enjoy! And then look back at your album and enjoy it again (and again).

HERE is your download
