The Healthy Alternative Author Has More….

Recently, after blogging about sugar (“By Any Other Name”), I shared a couple of video clips from my interview of friend and author, Nicolette Dumke.  When allergies threatened the health and happiness of not only her early life but that of her son Joel, she set to work creating food recipes to work around allergies and even address health concerns.

Nickie has been cooking for food allergy and other special diets for over 40 years.  She holds B.S. degrees in medical technology and microbiology and has authored several books.  I shared a few of those with you in my “sugar” blog.  

The first video (3min) I am sharing today is Nickie talking about eating Gluten Free – a pretty common topic in health conversations:

The second video (2min) is unique.  You will be amazed at her husband’s story with regard to macular degeneration.  Becoming the great recipe-maker again, Nickie used food to address his situation and actually “stopped it in its tracks”.
