WHAT?  COLD & FLU SEASON AGAIN?

Just about a year ago, I did a blog on my “GoTo” kit because a ‘Super cold’ was going around – it was not COVID or the flu.  In fact, I had been at a retreat in the mountains and more than one person was either experiencing it or just recently had it or felt like they were coming down with it.

Sure enough, in the last several weeks, I have heard multiple people sharing their symptoms (or I have heard their stuffy sinus problem in their voices) and the season is back – the cold and flu symptom season.

As is my habit, the moment I feel some of the ‘sinus-filling-up’ symptoms plus a drippy nose, etc. – I go straight for my personal aid KIT which I use to combat these.

Instead of ignoring the early symptoms creeping up on me, I want to get a handle on it quickly.  My goal is to support my immune system to help me “head it off at the pass”.    And at the very least, make it a “light case” situation.

And it has not failed me — I have found my “KIT” helped me get through the worst in a few days.  It also helps me easily cope with the irritating lingering symptoms that wanted to stick around.

Originally I did a blog on my kit back in 2019 calling it my “Cold & Flu Season Kit”.  And again, due to people around me needing it, I did another blog on it in 2022.

So, why am I pulling it out again?  In the intervening years, I have learned how much the items in my kit can help – and the handout I created to share with those who wanted to know the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of the kit needed a bit of updating.  I did that updating a year ago, and am going to share it again.

You see, I have learned to carry an extra “kit” with me when I travel or carry my larger bag.  At a minimum, I carry the essential oil “Y-23” with me.

Why?  An example is the woman in the middle seat on the plane who was holding up a magazine blocking her head from the woman in the aisle seat.  It seemed a bit strange.

I asked.  She shared as quietly as she could.  The woman next to her had strong perfume which was causing her an allergic reaction.  Her nose was dripping and her sinuses were stuffing up and eyes watering.

I pulled out the Y-23 essential oil and doused a tissue with it and put the tissue in a small ziplock I had – then I shared it with her and suggested she breathe with the tissue in the bag close to her nose.  I warned her to not touch herself with the tissue.  (Y-23 is a potent essential oil)

Within a minute, her sinuses were clearing and she was able to breathe more freely.  After a while the tears and dripping even stopped.  She, needless to say, was my new ‘best friend’.  I was so glad to be able to help.

And then there was the massage therapist who has become a friend over the years as he worked multiple retreats where I was an attendee.  At one of the times I was signed up for a massage with him, he had a stuffy sinus sound to his voice and was apologizing in advance for the sniffing he was doing for his drippy nose.   No, he did not have COVID but just left-over cold symptoms.

Luckily, I had my extra kit with me.  I gave it to him demonstrating how to use it.  He did so and was ever so grateful.  As it came my turn for a massage, he had completely cleared up the nasal sound in his voice and there was no dripping going on.  He was delighted.

So, you ask, right alongside me, why doesn’t everyone put together and carry with them my “cold & flu kit”?

First, I think, we have to truly believe there is value in “heading it off at the pass” when the symptoms first start showing up.  Instead, I am amazed at how many people just “suffer through” the symptoms trying to ignore them or pretend it won’t get worse.  Seems like they treat it as an endurance contest.

Second, I think it is not clear how easy it is to put these kits together.  Too many steps or too much info and people get confused – and as my friend says, a confused mind does nothing.

So here is the simple step outline – there are 3 items in the kit:

  1. Colloidal silver in a nasal spray bottle – you sniff/spray this first
  2. Y-23 Immune essential oil in an inhaler – you inhale this next
  3. Capsules in a bottle or you can put them in a pill dispenser – you take 2 capsules every 2-3 hours as long as you have symptoms

How easy is that?  Very easy if you just sit yourself down, follow my handout and order these items today.  Put your kit together in a small ziplock bag and you are ready-set to take action when those sinuses start tightening up or nose starts dripping or you just feel that cold/flu thing creeping up on you.

Breaking it down (and the links and details are in my handout):

  1. The colloidal silver is Argentyn 23 (from Amazon) or if you buy Youngevity products, they have a colloidal silver also.  Buy a pack of 3 empty nasal sprayers (Amazon again) and fill with colloidal silver.
  2. The inhalers (yes, Amazon has packs of multiples) have a cotton stick inside which you soak with the Y-23 Immune essential oil (Youngevity – I give you a link to it)
  3. Buy a bottle of Killer Biotic capsules (Youngevity) and have 10-15 in a small baggie to go in your kit.  They are a mushroom-based natural antibiotic extracted into a capsule.

So, let me share my updated handout HERE – you can make your own “Cold & Flu Season Kit” (and a spare for those you are moved to help out during their misery).

I encourage you to pull it together NOW – order what you need.  Be ready.  So, if at some point, you find that sniffling, drippy nose or stuffy sinus feeling creeping up on you, you are ready to take action.

Instead of ignoring this until it is a full-blown problem impacting your life and your family and friends …. what if you could support your immune system to “head it off at the pass” or at least keep it from “side-lining” you for days on end?

P.S.  If you would like to see the video where I demonstrate these items, click HERE to go to that older blog – warning, it is an older handout so use the one I attached in this blog.
